Kölner Verein zur Förderung der Forschung und Lehre im US-amerikanischen Recht e. V.

At the Chair for US-American Law, led by Professor Dr. Kirk W. Junker, we aim to promote the research and teaching of US-American law at the University of Cologne (Universität zu Köln, UzK). Our highly qualified US lawyers and professors offer classes for the Certificate in US-Law (CUSL) program, which can be pursued besides the German law studies at UzK. At the Chair, we also provide opportunities to network with fellow students and professionals, as well as events like our annual Independence Day BBQ. In addition, we organize an exchange program with the Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, as well as a Summer School for Duquesne students in Ireland and Germany. We are proud of our affiliation with the Environmental Law Center. Professor Junker received his B.A. from Penn State University, his Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law, and his Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh.
