FMI was established as a machining company in 1962 with our first production plant located in Bergen op Zoom. Since then, we have grown into a group of manufacturing companies using the very latest engineering technologies, Computer Aided Manufacturing, additive manufacturing and CNC machining production technologies. Our products and services range from component manufacturing up to (and including) the assembly of modules and turn-key integrated systems. ImProvia was founded in 2006 as a consultancy and engineering company active in industrial automation for production industry and infrastructure. Since its establishment, specializations have been motion and control. In 2020 a joint venture between FMI and ImProvia was established, named FMI ImProvia Group.
