Center Factory Planning GmbH

The central mission of our Center Factory Planning is to develop and investigate the factory of the future. Thereby, we always ask ourselves how the factory planning process can become more effective and even faster in order to make factories sustainable, purposeful and more efficient. The foundation for our goals is the interdisciplinary research at the RWTH Aachen Campus, in particular at the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) of RWTH Aachen University. The Center Factory Planning provides access to the latest research results and is also the central platform for planners, implementers, software entrepreneurs and factory operators. In our community, we enable the process-related and digital integration of factory planning and building design. In addition to our research activities, we are also part of overarching projects in different consortia in which many manufacturing companies and other industries share their knowledge and implicit know-how.
